 Die Nominierungen für die diesjährige Oscar-Verleihung wurden bekannt gegeben. Mit dreizehn Nominierungen geht Guillermo Del Toros Fantasy-Romanze "Shape of Water – Das Flüstern des Wassers" als Favorit ins heurige Rennen um die Gold-Statuen. Darauf folgen Christopher Nolans eindringliches Kriegsdrama "Dunkirk" mit acht, und Martin McDonaghs Tragikomödie "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" mit sieben Nominierungen. Greta Gerwig kann sich für "Lady Bird" über eine Nominierung als beste Regisseurin freut, womit die Academy auch einer ähnlichen Kritik wie von Natalie Portman bei der Verleihung der Golden Globes, als sie die "all-male nominees" ankündigte, vorbeugt. Die Verleihung findet heuer in der Nacht vom 04. auf den 05. März statt. In der Woche davor gibt es von uns wieder das traditionelle SPECiAL, mit Reviews zu allen "Bester Film"-Nominierungen sowie unserer Prognose der Gewinner.
